Delivery was on time. The bed was fairly easy to assemble, not having done so before we did have to follow the instructions carefully. Lots of underbed storage, which was why we bought this ottoman bed, we have downsized but still have lots of “stuff” that we need and with limited wardrobe, cupboard space ottomans are very useful! Bed looks lovely with its blue padded headboard. bought the Dorma Purity Meadow duvet set which compliments the blue perfectly. Only disappointment was that after paying for the bed on line, my oh found the same bed £175 less on another website, Dunelm couldn’t price match or offer a discount.

The bed is great, much better quality and more sturdy than the last one of these I bought eight years back. The build is tricky. The paper instructions are not great, and lack detail. There is a QR code for a construction video, but what they don’t tell you is there are two videos. The one linked to the QR code does not show the construction of the box and headboard. We didn’t find this one until we’d built it using the paper instructions included and we had to disassemble and reassemble elements as the paper instructions weren’t detailed enough. Using both the paper instructions and the two videos (put in Loxley on YouTube and they’ll both come up at the start) we got it done, but it took us several hours. Happy with it now it’s done, feels really sturdy. We had to get cup castors for the legs as we’ve got it on a laminate floor. Really nice that there is space underneath to clean the floor as our last ottoman bed was pretty much at floor level. Don’t think the storage will take much weight because of that, but will be fine for keeping bedding and pillows to hand. Colour is perfect, just what we wanted.
